my brother is getting married and he said no kids. i assumed that my kids would be there. his only nephews. but turns out he meant no kids at all. i was mad and hurt. i considered not going and told him that. also our mom was also upset that he didn't want her only grandkids at her son's wedding. she wants all family there.

Honestly, as a person with a child, I had a friend invite all her friends to the wedding. Now she wanted a child free wedding now I couldn’t find anybody to watch my child to go to the wedding so you know what I did. I didn’t show up and for some miraculous reason that was still a problem. So when she came to me and asked me why I didn’t show I simply told her out of respect for your wedding day. I didn’t show up because I didn’t have any childcare. I’m really not understanding what the problem is if somebody wants to have a child free wedding that’s their special moment.

if parents corrected their children now days there wouldn't be so many child free weddings happening. Ya don't watch your kids, you don't teach them respect, and you don't correct them. No one wants to deal with crying brats because of poor parenting.

My wedding and reception in September 2024 was kid-free. My two sons as well as my wife’s neice and nephew were in the wedding but were excused immediately afterwards. It’s OUR wedding, that WE paid for, so it was how WE decide to have it.

it's because of those people who cnt take care of their kids at functions leaving them running around unattended to destroying things and making a ruckus that people now have to specify they want no kids at a wedding.If we all kept our kids in check at other ppls functions this won't exist
