One time I went out of my way for a financially restricted client with a dystocia dog. Called a vet I know who operates a low cost surgery center, and she agreed to come in on her day off to do the surgery. The client never showed up at her clinic the following morning. I called and left a voicemail telling her exactly how rude and entitled it was to not even have the courtesy to let the people going above and beyond for her know she wasn't coming so my friend wasn't sitting in an empty clinic for hours on her day off.

The vet office my rescue uses had a client scheduled for an important surgery for their dog's leg the night prior and didn't show the next day. They were mad they still couldn't come in for surgery (they finally called after 1) the surgery would've taken like 4 hours to do 🥴

we have a couple clients that we have forbidden from in room appointments because they never show up. their only option with us is to drop off or go somewhere else bc you can’t be wasting our time like that.

The amount of times I’ve had to argue on the clients behalf to management for us to let them come in on an already packed day or convince management to cut the same day fee because of financial struggles just for them to not show up is insane. It’s honestly disrespectful asf
