I feel the writers and directors abused the fact that you need to change things for a live action movie, and that they probably just skimmed through the webtoon and didn’t even bother with reading the novel.

theres a select few of these on the list that genuinely had to happen to adapt a book to screen unfortunately. i havent watched the movie yet but im still in the late 200s of the novel, how much of the novel is the movie supposed to cover? is it just meant to represent the beginning arcs, or is it the entire novel

axed the whole storyline, altered it extremely where the film become so different from the novel, keeping the characters' name but changing how they were portrayed, did all that just to be more fitting to the general viewers and fit the standard of the director. why didn't they used the film as a way to introduce a unique storyline loved by og orv readers instead of making it a generic save the world trope? Definitely a flop. Putting a 500+ ch novel into a 1hr 57mins film is definitely not enough. perhaps the reason its still thriving, topping the boxoffice in korea is because of the actors' fans, and not because of those orv fans who like the LA (which is NO ONE).
