one of my favorite things about Rumi is how good of a liar she is. It’s a small thing, but it’s a nice character flaw. i love how casual and easy it is for her to lie to Mira and Zoey. It’s a nice way to clue us in on how Rumi’s pretty much perfected the craft after basically living her entire life having to lie, at least up until the idol awards.

I've been bored for the past week and decided it would be fun to expand the KPDH universe. I've created an entire spin-off storyline, which revolves around Zoey and the place where she grew up, Burbank, California. I've been working on it day and night, constantly changing it to fit the current plot. I've already written the logline, Synapsis, and Treatment, and I'm working on the character descriptions. I've also more or less figured out what could happen in the sequel of KPDH. I hope I can somehow reach Sony Pictures Animation with this project. If anyone's interested, I can send them the Logline for this spin-off, for example. 😊

have you ever thought that there was a deeper meaning behind the patterns? I always thought that the patterns were like SH scars and I think 'this is what it sounds like' proves this. "the scars are part of me" for the visible scars, "darkness and harmony" for the mask of happiness people put on to pretend like they're fine and not have to tell/show people the marks, "I broke into a million pieces" to show the inner turmoil of deciding whether to tell someone how you feel or whether you should just keep it all a secret, and "but now I'm seeing all the beauty in the broken glass" to show that some people do tell people about their SH and feel comfortable telling them.
