The other day I explained how you can't just always assume AI answers are always true answers bc they often just scrub for top results and if it searches something w a huge conspiracy echo chamber following the answers are going to be biased and wrong bc it doesn't know true v false, it just knows how to show you what's most prevalent out there. They didn't believe me bc "look it says so RIGHT here". I fear we are cooooooked.

I think I lost a friend to this cause she said there’s no environmental impact to using AI, didn’t acknowledge the evidence I sent, and said she used it for homework to do it for her… should I tell the admin of her university anonymously that she’s breaking contract of academic integrity?

i can see how AI can be useful BUT i believe there should be regulations in place, for the AI companies and even possibly the users. idk i would be willing to pay for subscriptions IF that money went towards making AI more sustainable. But I totally agree that overtly relying on AI is bad & it's often faster to look sth up on wikipedia anyway

I get where you’re coming from, there are real concerns about AI’s impact. But I bring a sorta “this video with this level of engagement likely uses as much water and energy as about 1,400 AI image generations” vibe, too. Exploitation and critical thinking are valid points, but they apply to all tech, including platforms like this one. Maybe the bigger conversation is how we use these tools, not just whether they exist. Perspective matters.

My mom told me today ‘I didn’t mean to get you started’ when we were talking about how her new meds are $2k with Medicare, because the pharmaceutical company has a deal with the FDA to not release the generic for a certain time frame *because money*. She knows I went through the same thing with Latuda.

its industrial users. a heavy individual AI user drives the equivalent of 100 miles. Mastercard's fraud detection is like driving 10,000,000 miles. FinTech, Military AI, Logistics, etc. those are the bad guys. 🏭😅
