Ngl I don't care about Jon that much after he aged up and effectively became a different character. I know adult Jon has fans but as guy who loved DC Rebirth Superman I can't help but feel slited whenever Jon pops up in a current story.

I’ve always found it most noticeable in his almost complete lack of response to his 7 years of captivity. Like that’s the exact thing that should’ve shaken his world view and given him a very different perspective on life and he’s mostly untouched by it outside a few plots years after the fact. Clark is a good person because he was raised by good people and Jon is a good person… despite being raised by absolutely no one for 7 years. His nature supersedes what should’ve been an extremely influential period of his life.

this is nowhere clearer than when you look at the period of time when he was an only child, and you see how Clark and Lois treated him during that run. Superman 2016 was laden with conservative bioessentialism, and it's only NOW that books like secret six are bothering to examine whether or not that's like. Good for anybody

Jon not being anything beyond ‘Supermans blood son’ genuinely hurts his characterisation sm as well. I’m sick of even seeing him cause all he is allowed to be, is ‘supermans son!’. Everyone around Jon like Jay, Kon, Osul & Otho are all INFINITELY more interesting but everyone’s sidelined for him. Its unfortunately made me dislike him sm. I hope he d!e$ choking on his blood, so that when he comes back he can be ANYTHING other than the poster child for bioessentialism.

I kept it “super focused” but admittedly it’s easier to notice when the other Wayne kids aren’t being treated fairly because they more famous and adults while Otho and Osul are kids and it’s really easy for kids to be left outta stuff.
