Names 💙 and Numbers 💙 :
The F35 is a weapons platform. Its entire design, structure, systems, and components support the delivery of lethal force. Components we are supplying like bomb bay doors, release mechanisms, targeting systems, or even propulsion and flight control parts might not be individually classified as weapons, but they are essential to the aircraft’s ability to carry out attacks. Without these parts, the aircraft couldn't function as a fighter bomber. For example, a bomb bay door lock doesn’t explode, but without it, the bomb can’t be released. The idea of calling them nonlethal or non-weapon components is more about legal and bureaucratic definitions used in export controls, not about their real-world role. Functionally speaking, every part that enables the F35 to fly, target, and strike is part of a lethal system. The distinction is mostly semantic.
