Tangentially related but because you brought up Bello; does this layer/“even if the ability is removed” clause mean that killing Bello during combat doesn’t remove the artifacts/enchantments he animated from combat?

I'm fairly certain xu's continuous effect starts to apply on layer 4, then on layer 6. so let's say you reanimate a pherexian metamorph, since copying effects are on layer 1, you could choose to have it enter as an artifact and then it wouldn't be a creature anymore and then the rest of the other effects wouldn't happen.
