This guy cracks me up 😂 I met Vincent at Minoru Park in Richmond. He was feeding the birds and enjoying the weather. As I walked by, he made a joke about the birds and gave me a chuckle. So I decided to circle back and strike up a conversation with him. When I told him that I photograph strangers, he asked if he was going to be rich & famous. In case you can’t tell, Vincent specializes in sarcasm. 😂 So does his wife, Virginia, who joined us halfway through the photoshoot. (She politely declined photos, as she didn’t want to steal the spotlight from Vincent) Vincent moved to Canada from England in 1967. He’s had many careers throughout his lifetime, including being a driver, a hotdog cart owner and a car salesman (or in his words, a slimy used car salesman lol). He’s had some mobility challenges in the last few years, but that hasn’t taken away his zest for life. He still loves meeting new people, telling stories and making people laugh. Friendliest puppy in Vancouver 😍 I was at the Day of the Dog festival in Vancouver, when Beverley and Laurie spotted me from afar. They were visiting the festival with Benji, their CUTE 6-month old puppy. Benji has endless puppy energy - and he’s VERY affectionate. 🥰 We managed to capture some photos (with a few treats as bribery). However, he was way more interested in the click of my camera than the squeaky toys. 😂 I feel like if Benji was a human, he’d be a photographer like me. 😌 — ⚙️ Technical Notes: I used the Sony A7CII + 24mm 1.4 GM for these portraits. Typically when photographing dogs, the Sony autofocus is flawless. It always stays locked on to their eyes, which makes photographing fast moving pups way easier. But in this case, it struggled a bit. I think it’s because Benji had a little bit of hair partially blocking his eyes, which caused the autofocus to act up a bit.
