In the books belly is really innocent and naive. Shes young and figuring out what love is / what grief is and js growing up at the same time. The show hyper-sexualized and over-dramatized everything :c

I think this show would've been a lot better if there was more yearning. but the creator made belly kiss both boys in S1 and they're all constantly confessing their feelings 💀 it really ruins what could've been good moments of tension, build up, and magic, and just makes the story unnecessarily messy
