True, most people do hit a ceiling when it comes to abstraction or layered thinking. It really does make certain conversations feel pointless. But at the same time, raw IQ isn’t the full picture. Emotional intelligence and lived experience shape reasoning too. Not everyone thinks in systems and that’s okay. For example my iq was measured 138-140 yet I still get along with people and I am very low inhib fearlessly interacting in society.

when someone beats my ass in a debate and he successfully challenged my ideas;i often feel ashamed to keep holding onto them. once the truth shine;it becomes hard to justify continuing with a false views;bias is completely normal as we all can be victim of it but what’s wrong is refusing to admit when we are clearly proven wrong or acting like we are immune to being biased debates may feel pointless especially if the other person seems unmoved and unfazed when he matches what you described in the video but when you challenge his false beliefs with facts;even if they don’t admit it out loud you still plant a seed you still had an effect

Topics related with morality are impossible to debate unless you are on the same moral plane/spectrum/have the same ideals which is why you think this (since the people you debate with probably have different morales/ideals) and I’m almost fully sure that the other side thinks the same of you
