@dadgermanproject1: 🎯 Why UCC is Cracking Down on Wi-Fi Hotspot Businesses in Uganda 🇺🇬 📢 Many people are selling cheap Wi-Fi using bundles bought from big telecoms like MTN & Airtel — without a license. 📉 This undercuts licensed businesses and causes unfair competition. 📡 Some are using unapproved equipment that interferes with national networks. 🔐 Plus, public Wi-Fi is risky — hackers love it! ⚠️ UCC says: ✅ You MUST be licensed ✅ Telecoms must track who resells their data 🚫 If caught, your equipment can be confiscated! 💬 If you’re in the hotspot biz, it’s time to legalize or shut down. #UCC #UgandaWiFi #BusinessTipsUG #DadGermanExplains #DigitalBusinessUG #FinancialLiteracyUG #Kisoboka 💼📲 @APPSTECH INTERNATIONAL LTD #CapCut

but on the business point of view ISP are right, imagine a person buying an unlimited package @ abt 100k believed to be for personal use but they end up supplying it to a whole town at afee, yet the ISPs can very well do it themselves.that will drive most isps out of business.Roke spots have been around, they pay tax,pay workers, pay for licenses etc,but charge less for WiFi.tukkirize this is business unlimited is sold purposesly for personal ,not reselling.imagine canal,Sahara, mtn, Airtel etc all putting their infrastructure in an area just to serve customers & someone who pays no tax, license etc uses 90k unlimited personal bundle to supply the whole area.😂😂😂😂.they will get out of business.everthing has to be regulated

This scenario is similar to DStv against third parties that came in with the cheapest ways of watching European soccer.but all these telecoms in Uganda, their services are expensive and don't solve the end users needs, that's SMEs like WI-FI host and others come in!
