People are not paying attention to one of the most disastrous sections in this EO. It states that federal policy supersede state protection against involuntary commitment, defines mental health and states the federal government can find you a danger to self or others or incapable of taking care of yourself no proof necessary.

The Supreme Court decision of O’Connor versus Donaldson in 1975 says they can’t do this. You can only confine someone if they are a danger to themselves or other. The law has not been repealed. He can write all the executive orders he wants this is illegal. Now, will they try to do it? Probably. But any facility or hospital that accepts these people are gonna get sued out of existence. You cannot take people off the streets and confine them in a psychiatric facility against their will.

The old government banished these institutions due to abuse on humanity. Now the government is passing new laws to institutionalize the mentally ill Americans in general. This new generation of government is for the birds. The government is taking away our rights. This is just wrong. It needs to stop. I have lost all faith in our government
