@countrykidscarseatsafety: So far this year, 16 children have perished in hot cars. Pediatric vehicular heatstroke deaths are preventable! Here are three steps every caregiver can take to prevent them: Look, Lock, and Layers! #cpst #carseatsafety #mom #dad #babies #kids #parents
I was a kid that climbed into an unattended car - my dad found me, thankfully. I remember he cried when he explained to me what could have happened...

I never even thought about kids getting in to play or something without you noticing! I always lock my car but still a good thing to remember

my youngest is 7, I still walk around the back of the car and look in the windows out of habit.

I’m due in a couple weeks and have started to try to get into the habit of looking in the back seat already.

last summer while we were playing outside together as a family, my 2yo son got in our suv and locked himself in. I found him within minutes, but imagine if I hadn't.

a "how did (insert kid name) do at drop off?" has absolutely prevented tragedy for us. we also went "worst case scenario" to get them not to play in the car. "if you get in the car to play with it off, you might get stuck and you'll bake to 💀. DO NOT get in the car unless we are going somewhere. do you understand?"
