little fun fact CGI artists are some of the only people without good union representation in Hollywood leading to teams being heavily rushed and under payed for what they are doing causing the end product to look much much worse generally speaking the pre and post production for a lot of works has been gutted by a lot of the bigger studios to cut on costs

Because there's so much CGI in some films that studios will go with FX houses with cheaper rates. And cheaper usually means cheaper looking. Then they hope the IP will bring in the $, not the quality.
