Couple years ago we had one rip through Indiana we were without power for a week. I know it sounds crazy but we lost a lot of freezer food, and we’ve only just now been able to replace & rebuild our freezer stock.

Cedar Rapidian here and whenever a major storm hits or flood waters rise, we all get a bit nervous because of the derecho of 2020 and the flood of 2008.

The derecho happend on my birthday in 2020 an I will never forget it,I looked outside an all you could see was wind and debris outside,Iowa was hit very hard by that storm,an it also ruined birthday plans lol

See… these things keep happening, and have worsen throughout time — but when it comes to climate, the government doesn’t take it serious. Lives have been lost this summer associated with severe weather, and no one in office has raised awareness.
