I have taken organ donation off my license. It seems that there are more and more of these cases happening and who knows how many people have infact been murdered. I told my loved ones to always get multiple doctors from different places before declaring me brain dead.

When I had to take my mother off life support the organ donor lady made it into a sales pitch and then told me “well it’s not up to your choice or opinion” I had to get the hospice and the charge nurse involved for the lady to leave me alone. I was her medical power of attorney and they still tried to take the right away from me.

When my daughter was declared brain dead in 2012, there had to be 2 doctors 24 hours apart to evaluate her for signs of life. She saved 8 lives.

he didn't suffer an overdose.... he self induced an over dose.... accuracy in reporting matters. And i want to see a signed, notorized statement from the doctor..... not rely on a family member going to the news that already misrepresented as to why he was there in the 1st place.

When my uncle was declared brain dead they wasted no time coming in and asking for his organs. My aunt said she had to think about it they hardly gave her time before they came back. She said no. They are so insensitive.

That’s why I refuse to be an organ donor because of this. As much I love to help people; I just don’t trust medical professionals and their administration.

Yeah, I learned a while back some hospitals value taking organs over saving lives. Taking donor off when I can. I’d love to save lives if I have no chance at living, but there are too many instances like this. It’s sad.

Unfortunately the concept of brain death only became a thing when a Harvard committee was trying to solve the problem of low quality organs for transplant. There was no medical concept of brain death=real death until we needed organs

Once I got married I removed my donor status. If something was life threatening I wanted them to help me, not harvest me.

The story is tragic but like being an organ donor doesn’t make you less likely to survive. Like the doctors and us nurse don’t know your donor status unless you tell us. And there are protocols on when we can even call the organ donation organization.

The fact that they profit from this is reason alone i took myself off the donor list. Because at the end of the day they don’t care about people they have no relation to being killed for their organs.

This is crazy af but my aunt told me to make sure I wasn’t an organ doner be tig anything happens the hospital won’t try to save my life they’ll keep me alive till the Harvest my organs that’s it so I took it off my license and no longer am a doner!
