@sydneyyrhodess: One minute you’re dancing on a rooftop in Nashville and the next you’re getting an itch to take a pregnancy test, just for it to come out positive🤭🫠🥴 Now this would be no big deal if I was actually in the season of trying to conceive, married, established, and ready to settle down but I just had bariatric surgery, lost 75lbs, met a lil frienny friend, purchased an RV and was living out my hot girl van life dreams! So to say the least, getting pregnant as a fwb was crazy work — now everybody knew I was having seggs! 🫣 Y’all I took that test out of pure curiosity, I hadn’t even missed my period yet. 😩 I was also just recovering from a miscarriage 2 months prior and starting to get comfy with the idea that biological kids weren’t in the cards for me after multiple miscarriages… so this was a shocker if I’d ever been shocked🫨 However, being blessed to watch my son go from this little blob of cells (I literally got ultrasounds every 2 weeks b/c I was terrified of another miscarriage) into an actual baby that I never thought I’d get the chance to experience (but that’s another story for another day) to now being a toddler is just… MY GOD, it truly makes you believe in miracles! 🥹🙌🏾 With World IVF Day recently passed I can’t help but think about the millions of women either on a TTC journey, recovering from loss and/or failed attempts ttc, or even just grieving the reality (or thought) of never experiencing biological motherhood🥺 Please know the days are long but there is joy in the morning! Keep holding on because one day it’ll happen when you least expect it and regardless of timing or circumstances you’ll be glad it did!
