I hate my brain. You're explaining what you're doing, but you aren't explaining why. Which is 99.9% of my problem with how math is taught. It's focused on "just follow this procedure and you'll get the right answer." Which is fine for a lot of people, but my brain has to know why that procedure exists. What went into determining that's the correct way to do this? Why is this the best way to find these answers? Is this the best way to find these answers? How did we figure out that this is the best way to find these answers? Like I said, I hate my brain for needing this to be able to understand it.
