I think it's both things coexisting. We have to consider that Belly started getting ready right after telling Conrad they should record the ceremony. And consider that all the similarities to the book can't be maintained if they want to completely change the context of the brother.

I appreciate this take because I wasn’t looking at it like this. I was thinking it was still implied that it was about or for Conrad since it matched the book. But this collectively makes sense. Just ready and waiting to see her start the inner dialogue we get in the books about her thinking about Conrad.
