when lynch shows up, he's gordon cole. When tarantino shows up, he's just so obviously tarantino every time and it hurts. You'd never guess that Gordon Cole is the director if u didn't already know what he looked like because he gives as good a performance as every other actor

This is how I feel about Woody Allen. His movies feel so self-indulgent, especially when he appears in them. The worst thing is he didn’t just do cameos, he often played the protagonist. His face always gives me the ick

I just feel when Tarantino puts himself in his movies it’s to show off that he can act(he can’t) & when David Lynch does it, it’s to serve the story or flesh out whatever character he’s interacting with in the scene like Agent Cooper

Tarantino is a shockingly poor actor & a charisma vacuum with deeply unpleasant speaking voice. Hence the Winston Wolf episode in Pulp Fiction, already weakest part of film by far, Tarantino's 'character' almost kills the project stone dead with his embarassing 'tough guy' persona...horrible!
