Apples and oranges. 1)She was convicted of Perjury, nothing within the scope or responsibility of Epstein’s trafficking industry, in which she was an enthusiastic participant. 2) The 2008 deal isn’t a forever pass. It would only cover crimes committed at the time of the deal. Abundant evidence exists of subsequent and expanding trafficking and probable blackmailing.

I’m so confused, why/who made that deal to begin with? That seems like they were acting shady but if it was a state prosecutor then it only applies at the state level anyway and crimes committed in ny would not be included. If it was a federal prosecutor I am not exactly sure how that works but based on what happened to Mangione it seems that double jeopardy doesn’t apply when it’s state vs federal— they are completely different jurisdictions.
