The lives of Cambodian soldiers are a sacrifice for shameless leaders. They do not die to protect the people. Instead, they are pushed into a war that aims to preserve the power of inhumane leaders. Soldiers' lives should not be used as bait for their ambitions. Sending them to the dead to cover up the failure of self-government is the cruelest act that the government can give to its own people.
