I don’t even have a school age kid and I get supplies just to donate. I see it as helping the community. Some kids parents can’t afford everything and it’s okay. I don’t know the big deal about getting extra supplies

Composition notebooks is a big one I have kids who don’t bring the amount that I ask because it seems like too many.. so I went to Walmart and bought a bunch of 38 cent notebooks. Also tissue boxes and paper towers

They are mad that the teacher plans for kids to forget supplies at home, lose them and run out by having extra. Parents think the extra supplies means teaches are Scrooge McDuck literally swimming in their supplies doing laps during their planning periods

The main complaint they have is the teacher getting to keep extra boxes of Kleenex at the end of the school year 😩 they also said disinfectant wipes should be the teachers responsibility… Something about the bitterness to them comes off as if the other parent isn’t coparenting so they feel as if they’re once again being taken advantage of, perhaps a parent is around, but doesn’t want to be with them the new school year is just a reminder

They are mad because of the communal bins like pencils and glue, crayons, markers. Teachers put them all in bins and kids can grab when they need and put them back. Some parents (not me) are mad that their kids don’t use the exact one they buy. It’s nonsense. I think that you get what a teacher ask for. They are responsible for the kids 8hours a day 5 days a week. So ya that’s what crazy parents are mad about.
