Just got an ultrasound and they found out I have PCOS. When I asked what I can do, she told me just get on birth control, which I’m currently on. The stories I hear as a therapist who works with afab folks navigating the healthcare system is appalling. Navigating the healthcare system in general is horrible in America—add on multiple marginalizations, and it’s even worse.

I mean this kind of isnt true- awareness is high, its that doctors and insurance dont care. Its never been a secret, its just that we have literally nothing to do about it.

I had uterine fibroids, had constant pain and pressure. I got a hysterectomy this month.

Stage 😉 :
3 pelvic ultrasounds, 2 biopsy’s and 1 DNC. Went to a new dr only to find out the ultrasound tech was reading the results as my uterus. There was no need for any of this. I have 1 10 cm fibroid. Women are doomed
