This may sound crazy, but yesterday I decided to start putting 1-66 in a random number generator and letting it decide which book I read. Once I have the book, I put the number of chapters in the random number generator and let it decide which chapter too. I’ve only done this for two days, but it’s actually made me look forward to reading God’s word

You cannot just open the Bible and start reading because then you'll be all confused and take things out of context. either follow a reading plan or you can choose a subject or even a person to study. The different books of a Bible, while telling one complete story, if you don't read it the way you're supposed to won't make any sense. And if you just open the Bible and say God just lead me to a verse you might just be led to a verse that might make you more depressed. You need a plan.
