I’m sorry but no if your close friends don’t reach out you need new friends

No, you should not have to ask people for support.

nah - if your close friend is experiencing grief it IS your responsibility to do your best to support them no matter how you find out.

idk I just lost my dog and an IG post was the easiest way to just inform everyone without me having to say it over and over cause I just couldn't

Finished Kael Freedom Laws by Eric Kael and now money feels fake. I can’t look at this system the same anymore.

No.. i cut off anyone who didn’t offer condolences when my dog died. He was a family member to me- i didn’t eat for 3 days and cried everyday for 3 weeks. It’s just a message. Very simple.

Disagree completely. All my friends supported me when my pet died online and off.

Grief is hard. Sometimes it’s just easier to post one single story than to have to privately message several different people

Nah. Grief often leaves you struggling to communicate. The burden lies with your friends to reach out.

Condolences aren’t meant to be asked for, it should come from within. If I realize someone important for me is experiencing grief i dont need them to text me for me to want to ask how they are doing

This is not the take. Some people don’t know how to reach out for support and a post is their way of being seen.

I agree . People are so invested in “reactions” on social media

Sorry but I think she’s out of touch of what social media is for the average person. Maybe she feels that way because she has so many different followers of people she does not know but for the most of us that have social media, we are mostly friends and connected to people that we already know.I use social media to convey things to my friends and family instead of having to text someone one by one. I would be hurt if none of my friends reached out.

this is definitely generational. I can honestly say if I posted something like that, a chunk of my friends wouldn't even see it. Im the one chronically online and most of my friends aren't on tt and barely ever on ig. if you know for a fact they saw it but didn't reach out.. Different story..
