am i the only one that thinks it's insane that health cards aren't a valid form of id?? i have to go pay $160 to get my g1 just so i have an id to go get a phone plan its driving me nuts

Contact your MP and don’t give up, schedule emails if you have to, call their office. Your MP is your voice for government services and if you annoy them things will get done

Oh no Thunderbay office is the WORST. They put the wrong information on our marriage certificate and refused to fix it without me paying again. It was their mistake. Still waiting for a resolution. Go anywhere but there.

The service/customer service at government agencies is pathetic. Long waits, ambiguous contact info, it’s outrageous. Unrelated: the reporter really didn’t need to say “for reasons she’d rather not discuss”. “She wants to change her last name” wouod have been sufficient.

I'm waiting for my last name to change i sent it in April of 2025 and they told me there's a wait for 17 weeks so I'll have to call back at the end of August and I sent in my original birth cirtificate and I have to wait to receive my new one with my new last name to go get my license cause I need 2 pieces of ID my ID card and birth cirtificate which I don't have and probably won't have for another couple weeks

I’m waiting for my Dgh name change. I know it got there 13 weeks ago but they don’t even have it in their system yet. We are adding my surname to her name & correcting their first name. They have to have the original birth certificates with the application so it’s stressful that they don’t even have anything in their system!!

I've been waiting since November 2024 for approval of my CPP Disability benefits, born here, I've been working since I was 14 yo & unfortunately I am now disabled due to an autoimmune disorder, can't work anymore and I cant get my own pension! I'm barely surviving on the money from my Insurance, having to turn to food banks and they still have until October 2025 to decide 🥴 I am pretty sure the govt is hoping I take myself out of this timeline because what is the reason for this kind of delay 💀

Had to submit a correction for a birth certificate from 1977, got in done in about 2/3 weeks. Not sure why it takes them so long for a similar thing
