The I-5 corridor is the most trafficked area in the nation. My sister in 2009 from a very tiny town called Richfield WA. They had her in a strip club within 24hrs. Shared Hope International based in Vancouver WA was part of rescuing her before she was sold. She went all over high schools for YEARS telling her story, and teaching the FBI. I worked with shared hope for a decade volunteer. They don’t focus on rescue anymore because they are so unsuccessful. Best course is education and prevention.

Being from Redding California I'm happy that this is finally getting more awareness!! Growing up I volunteered at a kids group and their were dozens of teenage trafficking survivors that I worked with and my heart broke over their stories. Ladies, there are tonssss of gas stations and rest stops up the I-5, please be vigilant and aware. Abductions have become way to common up there. Thanks for sharing this story!

I-5 is notorious for it. I stopped at a gas station near Coalinga and there was a sign in the bathroom with a number to call if you are being trafficked

Don’t go to Sam’s club in Yuba city alone!! Insane how many are in the parking lot just waiting. I had three surround my car and and my three kids..were lucky I’m mean and loud. Watch your surroundings getting in and out always. They pretended to be on their phones until they were almost bumping elbows with me right on my car.

Most people are trafficked by someone they know, such as a romantic partner, friend, or family member. There are several anti trafficking agencies in that area, they’re always looking for volunteers. As someone who works for an anti trafficking agency, it’s very frustrating to hear people say, “why aren’t we talking about this” and “why isn’t anybody doing anything?!” I promise you, there are many organizations that are speaking out about this every day, people just don’t care to hear it.

Yes! I went to a training in Ukiah, CA and we were told by the Ross employee who said she could tell we weren’t from the area and that it’s not safe for women to be out because you can be abducted.

Hey so I’m from Humboldt County. They are releasing a sadistic masochist women rapist in a low income area. He is highly likely to reoffend but the doctors state there is nothing more they can do for him. Instead of putting them in jail they are releasing him into a small town on the out skirts of eureka and Arcata that is low income and are mostly single moms.

I was on a roadtrip with just my dog last week. I had a room booked in Redding but had a feeling I needed to keep moving. I was exhausted and knew I’d lose $100 but my gut said it wasn’t safe. I had no idea a Redding has this reputation! After watching this video I’m both grateful and freaked out.

I have family that lives up in Redding, they told me to never make any sort of stops when driving up there. And to not stop at any gas stations, except if it’s a Loves Gastation. and that’s if there’s an emergency and I absolutely need gas. They constantly check in on me every single hour to even 45 minutes. It’s no joke. they especially don’t like it when I go up there alone to see them. They always want me to bring somebody with me.

I had this really weird experience near the Roseville mall where this guy wanted me to help him start his car. It was a weird situation his car was hidden behind a building. And like why you asking a young girl to help you with that like what😭
