The Will to Change by bell hooks should be required reading. Patriarchal systems hurt men too. Being forced to mutilate your emotional self in order to fit into the narrow definition of masculinity allowed under patriarchy is horrifying and deeply sad.

Congrats on getting published and shining a light on this problem. It’s the reason I divorced and the last ditch marriage counselor basically said this is really common and if my ex wanted a chance he would have to dramatically change his ways. That would require effort.

the best way to put it is that men are babies toddler been with my other half that we are not married we have been together 23 years and I have a 17year-old son . and now I have to make an appointment he's in the process of looking for a job so sometimes I have to drive them to interviews if it's downtown then there's no parking cuz he gets frustrated overwhelmed and then my son that's 17 gives me the side eye and looks at me like really Mom and I look at him I said eventually you're going to be the same way when you find that love one women never get a day off they work 24/7

Ugh 😩 this is one of the many reasons I’m single. It’s too much to hold. Men either need therapy and/or to change their interpersonal dynamics with friends. It’ll hopefully take a drastic turn by the next generation. But GENX, and Millennials seem screwed.
