anyone that has thoroughly studied and interacted with people of the rest of the diaspora will see that much of our culture is similar. it comes from the same dna. black american culture is african, so is afro brazilian, afro Caribbean, etc. its not that different though there are differences but there are tons of similarities that should be celebrated.

Respectfully this isn’t it brother. The uniqueness of Black American struggle, perseverance, history, culture, influence, etc. is what makes us THAT special. The system of America is literally built off the back of Black Americans and to keep us oppressed on every level yet we still overcome. Plus all minorities benefit from the struggle and social movements by Black Americans. Peace and love.

Reggae music is known more in Africa. America music is made known by MJ. Africans we have our own music and our own instruments. Your so called culture was brought here by my grand uncles and aunts that was brought here against their will years ago. They brought with them African music, hair braiding, clothes, food and other ways of life. So sent nothing all over the world.

whoever said anything about emulating british culture is silly…black british culture is black culture, its just simply a different part of the diaspora and its not black american culture…black americans need to understand they are apart of the same diaspora and our roots are common. anyone who is of african descent that detaches themselves from the diaspora are missing the power in the commonalities we have simply because of our african dna
