My stepdad gifted me a copy recently cause as a huge Stephen king fan it was just something I needed for the collection. He is not rich by any means but for the last 20 years or so when he learned, I was a huge king fan. He’s been checking thrift stores anytime he is someplace with a thrift store to find one.

I found it at a thrift store when I was a teen with all his books under that pen name. I dont remember it glorifying the main character but I get why he pulled it

It’s a shame it’s so rare but it’s hard not to respect Stephen King’s reasoning. He can really go to some dark places with the children in his books but it’s so clear he’s so full of empathy too
