It was originally called Transco Tower from 1983 to 1999. Williams Co. bought it in 1999 and renamed it Williams Tower in 1999.

I remember when there was a rotating spot light, like a light house, on top of Transco and the rich folks in West U made them turn it off.

Ok, let’s get into it, My pops was one of the Architects, Transco Tower, I was able to goto the top when it was completed but yet to open. I used to watch this being built from Godwin Park, (playing hoops) IYKYK. Grew up In Myerland. This is like Beal Bank building (brown), On corner 610 and Westimer across from the old Arby’s. Now my buddy owns it and it’s called Mokaram Law building. 👍

When I was at kid, my mom knew the head of security there. We got to go up to the top and look out the big satellite dish bay doors on the top.
