I call mine locs 99% of the time. But it also depends on WHO I’m talking to. If they look like they’ll only understand dreadlocks then I’ll say that.

I'm Black American. I have traditional locs. Before locing my hair I did extensive research so I would know what I would be getting into. During my research I discovered that the term "dread" was offensive to some people. I use the term locs but I have no issues if someone would call mine dreads or dreadlocks.
