I'm convinced the best way to go about this is to say your own pronouns unprompted at introduction without acknowledging it as anything but the most typical introduction ever. especially if you pass. better to leave the people around you with the agency to choose if they want to disclose anything without putting them in a position where they may have to lie if they feel unsafe, while communicating that you do have some exposure to trans rights advocacy

when I get asked by a lot of cis people thoughtlessly it feels like I'm being interrogated and I'm scared...also I know they're not gonna follow through bc I go by they. And apparently the only time its possible for cís people to say they is when a non they is near...
