Whilst I understand where he’s coming from (Riot have mentioned having a similar design philosophy in regards to Morgana) this does just feel like a cop-out answer to avoid saying “it’s because he’s old.” Blitz W would not self slow if he was made today and I think August would admit that if he didn’t have to defend Riot’s product

If you know how to play Blitz that slow means nothing. You boost to close the gap, bait out enemy dashes, and then by the time you throw your hook the slow kicks in and you don't need to move because you have them CC locked for the duration of the slow. The slow is to make the ability situational, without it Blitzcrank roam would be a NIGHTMARE

I kinda get what he is saying but my biggest problem is that Blitz Q CAN be a very powerful spell. Yes, he can hook you from a screen away, IF he hits it. There is counterplay, and a lot of it actually. What exactly is the counterplay to a Ksante all in...?

blitz pulls the 28/2 raid boss into your team and gets you all killed and ksante is the raid boss killing your whole team. thats the difference.
