This one might be unique but my mom used to soak a face cloth in white vinegar and sit it on the burn and it would calm down and turn into a tan rather than peeling. Could be a fever dream though!

I would layer on aloe like I owned an entire store of the stuff. Felt like I was getting a little dry? More aloe. Been like 45 minutes? More aloe. Just keep slathering it on, man. Just for the love of god do NOT use vinegar. It’s a wives tale but there’s no science that it works and it can actually be very damaging to your skin. I like a warm shower. Just cool enough to be comfortable on the burn, but not too cold that it was uncomfortable for the rest of my body. You don’t want to ice it or anything, but cooler water can help make it feel sooo much better

plain/greek yoghurt mixed with bicarbonate of soda to form a paste. wash off in shower after it dries out. takes out the sting. alternative to the yoghurt is milk.
can also just use the yoghurt as is until dry.
