We paid our taxes a week before the due date. We got a bill from the IRS we owe them a $400 late fee because they didn’t deposit our check until April 27th. Our state taxes were fine (CA). We paid them at the same time

Girl it took me a YEAR for my husband and I to get our tax return from two years ago. We ended up having to submit additional pay stubs after like 6 months of waiting for some unknown reason they couldn’t tell us even through everything was correct 🧐

FYI ~ I'm in the tax business. California was giving out vouchers in stead of refunds several years ago as they didn't have enough $ Good idea to not pay in too much. Ultimately it's good to owe them $100. Use 2024 tax return as a measure to reduce your withholding. Sent it to your savings instead. 💰
