Of my! 10th graders need as much structure as 8th grade. Make sure to tach your procedures and be consistent about enforcement of these. Good luck and reach out if you need bio help

So happy for and proud of you!! I noticed 8th graders transiting to high school and the routine need help with note taking and studying for test, how to use an agenda to help you, to do list, etc. it may seem so simple to us but it’s so life changing for them. I’m not sure what tech you have but many may not be as familiar with an iPad or computer, etc. maybe you could show google docs, how you organized your classes, how to email teachers or anybody in general, etc. I would make it a point each week for sure to designate time to sit and go over something along these lines.

My 24-25 school year 8th graders (last yr of middle school) did not care about anything LOL. They definitely need to be motivated A LOT.

What grades does your school have?? Mine is 9-12. If 8th grade is the youngest in the school expect to deal with crazy behavior lol I taught freshmen for 3 years and classroom management took me a while to get the hang of!!
