Flawed argument on many fronts. Unlike fantasy sports, winning and profit are not 1:1. Owners are pursuing profit over winning. They spend the least they can to not lose the fans/team. They use small markets and lack of cap as a crutch. Unless profits are tied to winning, spending gaps will remain.

a 2027 strike will almost kill MLB sadly they are going good now and need to figure it out a salary floor and salary cap would be nice but these poor owners need to open up there books so everyone can really see what's going on

While I do think there needs to be a cap AND a floor, they need to address fan access to the games first. They'll NEVER be able to grow the game until people can actually watch the games.

If there is a hard cap, then all teams need to spend at least 80% of cap space. If u don’t spend 80% for 2 years , owner sells team to MLB for market value. And then MLB can sell to owner who will spend. No MLB game should have less than 20k fans at any game.
