Let their kids go out and be pickers in 100° weather. Talk about wanting to go back to the 1920s my father worked the field as a child $.25 a day plus lunch they picked from 7 AM to 7 PM with one break. There is no way my child will ever do anything like that.

Kids do need to work some though.I get these 19 yr Olds who dont have a clue what it means to work I used to do day labor in the fields I could go if I wanted money that day os stay home. its kinda sad they dont allow that any more

Growing up our family of 9 grew or did u-pick farms for nearly all of our fruits and veggies, which were frozen, canned, made into jelly, jam or juice, etc. I hated blueberries because as a kid I had to pick so many of them-I called them the ‘Lima Beans of fruit’. It’s back breaking work and at 62 years old I still recall how hard it was. Zero fond memories.

NOPE! not my children or grandchildren! I am all for teens working over the summer but not farming or harvesting. Especially because they will most likely not have protections in place to protect the children.
