Because they don’t need to be sharp sharp sharp. The finer the edge the faster it rolls. Get em razor sharp, go cut a 50’ strip of grass,& see how sharp they still are.

Your blades won’t last as long they will chip and doll the edge get your angle then flatten the edge. If you have a nice lawn then they may last for a bit

They're only edged to whats needed to cut grass and stay durable according to the rpm speed of mowers. They didnt guess or shortcut the testing lol, this is optimal
