Aigis is the one character in persona 3 that best represents the message of the game, especially because of her dynamic with Maoto. Also Aigis isn’t a robot becoming more humane, she was a robot designed to be humane from the very beginning, she’s just learning how to express that human side of her better, and what better way to do that than make and interact with friends? Aigis is a robot that always risked her life not because she valued the lives she saved but because she was ordered to, it was her purpose and job. Her story isn’t about becoming more human, it’s about learning to value human life. Her last line before Makoto dies perfectly represents that, she promises to protect him forevermore not because it’s her job, not because of her programming, but because she truly values his life and wants him to live.

Aigis is a peak character, just because the trope is overdone doesnt mean it can’t be done well, the trope is done well with aigis and the way her character developed in the game isnt even slightly bad, besides that people are way weirder towards most of the other girls way more than with aigis, character wise aigis really well written and i don’t see anything that could make her unlikable, the persona 3 cast is amazing and aigis is near the top for a reason

i really do want to like her as a character and it may honestly just be me misunderstanding because i've only played reload, but she felt really flat to me? i need to watch more on her because i do think she's a good character, but i personally resonated with junpei and chidori's arc a whole lot more than aigis and mc vs ryoji
