Sarah had to keep quiet about the pod ending, then has still been consistently open about other things, Palestine, her autism and sobriety without it being an intentional parasocial development thing. Being even more politically engaging and inspiring people to research things themselves and be interested in the world around you. This week she even did a substack on how to research for fun which is great. Brit getting more production money for less meaningful content is a bit bleh.

Another specific ick I have is how male-centered her entire life seems to be. I enjoyed her in the beginning when she and Sarah were doing their podcast, but I left pretty quickly afterwards. She never stands on business with feminism or political stances/advocacy.

I really like the points you made here because I always just saw her kind of fall into the deep end of Hollywood and I always accounted most of her actions for her weird need to be approved by men. Like when she refused to go on the canceled podcast because her fans would supposedly be aggravated with her, but had no problem going on the Theo Von podcast. I personally think she just let the Fame get to her head and started leaving behind her morals and values.

I could believe The Broski Report is low-budget since it’s apparently just her in a room in her home, with no one behind the camera, and it’s sort of one long take. Royal Court, however, has got to cost so much. Even just hiring people to coordinate with these celebrities takes money. Now I am wondering where that comes from…
