@yohankqt: biology n internet history this time. so omegaverse came out of star trek but it got mostly popular back on tumblr/ao3 i forget, after a supernatural fanfic. star trek interpreted their biology to be like ferets like "do it or die" while supernatural (i assume bc im not a freak) based it off wolves. so theres definitely animal characteristics involved. but looking at all of omegaverse n how it evolved in 2 decades, heats are more aligned with felines rather than canines. since cats get their estrous cycles multiple times a year, dont bleed, n r more vocal. while dogs only get theirs twice a year n do shed their uterine lining. even more interesting is that between cats n dogs, humans r more closely related to cats (even tho cats n dogs are more closely related to each other than to humans at all). overall, the only takeaway from feline estrus are the quantities per year since wolves dont shed their lining but only have estrus twice a year, ntm the numerous other wolf-characteristics within the omegaverse or wtv idfk. anyways omegas have it rough even if they dont experience cramping or bleeding. n the whole thing w a uterus growing out of puberty is me trying to reconcile ppl getting surprised they manifest as omegas while trying to physically explain how a separate organ grows out of ur rectum. i also need to make reference sheets since i cant consistently draw that guy. #omegaversebl #omega #beta #omegaxbeta #yaoi
