It makes sense for her to join the enforcers bc when I first watched ep 1. I literally expect Vi to join Caitlyn cs it the only way to settle things w Piltover and Zaun. Not only that but w Jinx as well. Ppl don’t realize how much Vi hates Silco’s gang more than the enforcers

They also set up Vi's reluctant but growing willingness to work with enforcers to get what she wants throughout season 1. She starts off hating them and not understanding Vander's choice to work with them, but when she learns that's his way of protecting people she tries to make her own deal with Grayson to surrender herself to protect her family. Then Silco happens, and Vi hates him even more than the enforcers, so much that she's willing to work with one to take him down and rescue her sister. Slowly, she learns to trust Caitlyn and even tries to convince Jinx and Ekko to do the same, but when the plan to return the gem to the council fails, Vi even works with Jayce and a team of enforcers to get revenge on Silco. Her putting on the uniform in s2 didn't come out of nowhere. She hated doing it, but the story was building to it the whole time

this is how I felt because I was always confused when people say s2 ruined her character, I still believe she was kind of less focused on but the way people made it out that she was entirely different was weird

I will not watch past the first seconds of the video because I’m on S1, and obviously I don’t yet know why she did what she did in S2. But I’ll just say, referring to the video’s initial statements: just because something is canon doesn’t mean it can’t be out of character. The same way an author can create plot holes, they can also create inconsistencies within a character. When a character acts in a way that contradicts their philosophy, psychology, or general mindset, it creates a hole in the writing. Otherwise, there’d be no such thing as a badly written character.. which is just delusional. Characters can have these contradictions, and when they do, it makes both the story and the character poorly written. I really hope this is just some fandom misunderstanding, because I genuinely like Vi and Arcane.

why cant people understand that one of the reasons she joined the enforcers to prevent more damage and more people getting hurt. it was literally damage control at that point. it's also a consistent choice when you know about her tendencies to blame herself and take responsibility for jinx's actions. you can say that the pace was kinda fast but it she didn't have a lot of time to plan things at that point, only thing she could do to gain any control of the situation was going with the rest of them

I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS THANKS!! also, its because of vi that jinx wasnt attacked by an army of enforces, she was desparate and did the only thing she could think to help both the cities AND jinx, we know from the start that she doesnt think straight before she does something furthermore that she has a giant sense of justice

Vi is literally Enforcer by a default...that's what her character is in the game. So I don't understand, did people think she's gonna become a baker 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And it makes perfect logical sence, not only she was hoping that together with Caitlyn they can stop Jinx and stop chembarons (which was Vi's objective from the start) but that together they can stop bloodshed. Because Council is more than ready to start full blown attack on Zaun which would cause massive loss of life. She was going after criminals that she wanted to take down from the start. The only thing Vi had a problem with is obviously what that uniform represents, oppression, control and violence. This is all she experienced till that point. But even Vi gets to see that nit everyone in Piltover is corrupt, nasty and violent. (We're just people like you) what Cait said in the beginning. Even Vander had good relationship with some enforcers trying to keep the peace. In all fairness she's following his footsteps only going that bit further by ultimately becoming a part of the system with objective to change it and make it fair and less corrupt and violent. Which them two can in the future with Caitlyn becoming a Sheriff. Them two were always meant to be this power couple. So I don't know what is out of character here.
