I'm a saps member and I don't mind being recorded because that recording can end up in my favour too.If I'm being stopped by a saps member I do expect to be explained why I'm being stopped and if I did do something wrong then the officer must apply the law accordingly.

as a police officer i dont mind being recorded....just remember that i also have a phone so if you record me im going to record you too you cant be the one who controls the narative to suit you 😏

The police should just be on duty, not work and earn their money. the public can protect themselves. problem solved. just be visible guys, don't stop criminals, treat everyone the same, very important. protect yourselves against the public

This is not the first!!! Why must he lie! There was so many videos of police or law enforcement being inappropriate with women who protest while being arrested and when recorded it goes on social media so this cannot be the first case, but I would believe that the footage does not make the court, we don’t have creative lawyers from what I’ve seen , so they don’t reinterpret laws outside of how they’re used, so that evidence wouldn’t be the first but I mean everything is corrupt

We have to record in todays times. The corruption and greed in law enforcement is unbelievable. Currently our law and justice system is rotten to its core. This has to change for SA to move forward.

public servants works for the public so you as public servants at any and all public service centers does not have any right to use the poppi act as an excuse anymore. if you are afraid of being recorded don't work in the public sector

Police even have a National Instruction stating police can't stop people from filming. Before that there was Standing Order 156. The problem is most police officers don't like reading official directives.
