I would have done the same even though it maybe not the solution. It's a matter of finding out and it possible isn't the first thing you try. You are doing it good. Factories don't want to make it more easy because they urn too much money on parts selling. You are aware of it as well. 😔🙏

Looks more like a Crank position sensor or a cam position sensor. TPS is on the throttle body.

For obs and super duty powerstrokes always use motorcraft sensors they don’t like aftermarket at all. Trust me owned both styles and learned the hard way. If that doesn’t fix it then I would replace the IPR valve then ICP

I’ve owned several of these trucks and have a few friends with them, go ahead and spend the money of ford or Motorcraft parts and don’t have to worry about replacing the part again in 6 months
