Honestly getting my ADHD diagnosis, my impulse buying makes so much more sense. Even the psychiatrist assessing me was really validating about it and said it’s super common. I mean it doesn’t mean it’s not problematic, but I guess it helps to know it wasn’t me actively trying to buy loads for the sake of it, like my ADHD definitely played a role.

Not for makeup but I used to do the same for the fashion brand Sezane - I would stay up till 1 Am for their launches and would use a parcel forwarder to get it shipped to me in Canada when we did not have it here 😅

I wanted the Summer F blushes in 2 colours but I made myself go into Sephora to swatch. I hated the texture, the balminess, the stickiness and then the colour disappeared. I don’t eat blush but that blush was gone!!! So glad I made myself swatch. On the other hand I swatched the Charlotte T stick blush. Omg I love it. Just bought one. Won’t buy anymore but I’ve us3d it every day

Mines repurchasing.. I once lost a palette and instead of doing the normal thing and just looking for it I replaced it.. by the time it was delivered I’d found the original 🥲 also I’ll get really into a specific shade of something and buy every formula possible.. like I got really into rosey pink blushes so obviously decided I needed it in multiple formulas.. now have about 20 in roughly the same shade but in powder, cream, liquid… I don’t even like liquid blush 🤦🏻♀️

I was not so extreme 🤣 Yes, I waited until paycheck days (and I mean mine and my BF's) to shop, used whatever excuse to use against him to buy me something, but the custom fees always scared me a lot🤣🤣

I used to be similar. The thing that really helped me was moving multiple times in a short time. I got sick of packing it all up the collection slowly dwindled and then losing my income. I had to make choices on where i spent my limited funds. I’m so much better now and happier. I really research my stuff before i buy. And I’m not afraid to return anything that doesn’t work or wrong shade.

Well, I did finally find the best concealer that doesn’t crease 2.5 yrs and probably 30 concealers later. It’s Nars by the way. The creamier one. (I’m 53 and if you use a small amount it doesn’t crease.)
