this is so sad to hear you suffering like this. At this point, could it be a muscle memory thing that your brain is just conditioned to throw up and they need to give you something to stop that message going into your brain I know it’s called something medically but I can’t think of it.

ED RN here….we use droperidol a lot for intractable N/V! It’s technically an antipsychotic, but works great for nausea and vomiting! Hope you feel better 🩷

I’m sure they’ve tried it but the scopolamine patch with iv Benadryl and some form of Phenergan (iv, im, or transdermal were the only ones that worked) was the only mixture that ever touched my nausea.

Hopefully today is a day with less nausea. I get nauseous a lot so I always have altoids or some sort of peppermint, seems to help a little.

This may not work but when I was pregnant I took every med possible the only thing that ever worked for me was taking a bite of a lemon slice. This is used for nausea not just pregnancy. It would last abt 30 min but just keep lemon slices in a ziplock! I pray this helps!

Hi Syd!! When I’ve had nausea/vomiting that didn’t respond to meds, they gave me promethazine, and it made me super drowsy, but finally worked!! I hope you are feeling better soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I hate seeing antipsychotics used. The possibility of eps is significant. This is from a psych provider. Akathesia when nauseated is even worse

ED nurse here … I’ve given Ativan and droperidol for patients with intractable nausea / vomiting and that seems to help them!

Have they given you Phenergan? It’s the gold standard when it comes to nausea. If you’ve not had it, plz ask for it. You can also get a script and have them at home too. You can get it in your iv too.

Totally not trying to be a pest by giving unsolicited advice, so please ignore if you want! but have you ever tried emend and aloxi at the same time? That was the ONLY combo that would stop my daughter’s nausea and vomiting

I was an oncology nurse and I would take a cold ice water towel and wrap it around the pots neck, it worked. The colder the better it is! Try it
